Add or subtract hours, minutes, and seconds — or convert between time units instantly. No sign-up needed.
Choose operation:
Convert any amount to days, hours, minutes, and seconds.
To add two time values manually: convert everything to seconds, add, then convert back. For example, 1h 45m 30s + 2h 30m = 4h 15m 30s:
The calculator above does all of this automatically the moment you click Calculate.
| Unit | Equals |
|---|---|
| 1 minute | 60 seconds |
| 1 hour | 60 minutes / 3,600 seconds |
| 1 day | 24 hours / 1,440 minutes / 86,400 seconds |
| 1 week | 7 days / 168 hours / 604,800 seconds |
| 1 year (365 days) | 8,760 hours / 525,600 minutes |
Enter each time value in hours, minutes, and seconds, then click Add. The calculator converts everything to seconds, sums them, and converts back automatically. For example, 1h 45m + 2h 30m = 4h 15m.
Use the Subtract mode. Enter the larger time first, then the time to subtract. The calculator handles borrowing automatically. For example, 3h 10m − 1h 45m = 1h 25m.
There are 3,600 seconds in one hour (60 minutes × 60 seconds). There are 86,400 seconds in a full day (24 × 3,600).
Divide the number of minutes by 60. For example, 150 minutes ÷ 60 = 2.5 hours, which is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The time converter section of this calculator handles this automatically.
1.5 hours equals 90 minutes (1.5 × 60). Similarly, 0.25 hours = 15 minutes, 0.75 hours = 45 minutes, and 2.5 hours = 150 minutes.
Yes. The calculator supports two time slots. To add more values, first calculate two values, note the result, then use the result as the first value in a new calculation.
Divide the number of hours by 24. For example, 72 hours ÷ 24 = 3 days. The converter section shows the result in days, hours, minutes, and seconds simultaneously.
